Missed your first assessment?

When you stage for automatic enrolment, you must first assess your employees in the tax month your staging date falls in. For example, if you're due to stage on 1 June, this date falls in tax month 3 which runs from 6 May to 5 June. If you pay your employees on the last day of the month, you must assess them on 31 May.
